Overground dotty-squares (red; black)

The bag above is printed on calico, with black patterned lining. Measures 29cm wide by 39cm deep; handles 64cm.

Printed on upcycled cotton damask tablecloth, with red patterned lining. Measure 28cm wide by 35cm deep; handles 60cm.

To carry on your journey

These strong, useful bags use designs derived from my 'journey lines' (http://travelwriting-mc.blogspot.com), drawn while travelling on London Underground, Overground, or buses.

The line on the bag was drawn at a constant speed while the train was in motion. The variation of the line shows the movement of the train, the state of the track, the quality of the driving, and the mood of the writer.

The drawn page was transferred to a silkscreen and printed onto natural fabric in a limited edition.

Each bag has handles to match the colour of the Underground line on the official London Underground Tube Map, and its combination of fabric, handles, lining, and inside pockets is unique.

Unless specified otherwise, bags are approximately 40 cm square, and handles are 60 cm, for carrying over your shoulder. All bags have at least one internal pocket.

At the moment, lined bags cost £25 including postage within the UK. They can be purchased by contacting me at mcooter3 [at] gmail(dot)com, or through leaving a comment on the relevant post.

Bags showing parts of the Victoria, Northern, Jubilee, Central, and Piccadilly lines are available, as are bus routes 6 and 171, and sections of London Overground.
